On Thursday, May 9, 2019 Doris Eileen Welsh (Carlson), loving mother and dedicated grandmother passed away at the age of 77.
Doris was born in Bracken, Saskatchewan and has always been proud of her birthplace. She was a professional hairdresser and made lifelong friendships through her career. She was an active member of the Sons of Norway and celebrated her heritage. She loved Yoga and her volunteer work at the Colonel Belcher and Preparing brown bag lunches for local schools.
Doris was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence and mother, Myrtle as well as her companion, Earl. Doris will be lovingly remembered by her son, Daryl (Billie); three grandchildren, Micaela, Matt and Brody; two brothers, Lyle (Joyce) and Dwight (Anne) and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Doris’ Life will be held on Sunday, May 26th, 2019 at Capitol Hill Community Hall, 1531 – 21 Avenue NW, Calgary, AB at 2:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Doris’ memory to Dulcina Hospice would be greatly appreciated.
