Jacqueline “Jackie” Margaret Aprile (Martland)
February 3, 1946 - October 2, 2019
It is with great sadness that the family of Jackie Aprile announce her passing on October 2, 2019. Jackie passed away peacefully at home at the age of 73 years.
Jackie is lovingly remembered by her family: daughter and only child, Deborah (Jack) Hauser (Aprile); grandchildren, Mathew, Morgan (Andrew); great-grandchildren, Addilynn, Jack, Suzi and Matthew; siblings, David (Vikki), Jeanette (Steve), Jill (Andy); brother in law, Mario; nephews and nieces Eric, Brian, Sean, Tony, Lori, Julie, Andrew, Nadine, Luke ,Pauline, Michelle and Micheal; along with numerous great nieces and nephews.
Jackie was predeceased by her parents, Richard Martland and Mary Betty Martland (Baldwin); as well as her sister, Heather.
Jackie was born February 3, 1946 in Burnley, Great Britain to loving parents who later relocated to Canada.
Jackie was an accomplished highland dancer in her youth, winning a first place trophy in 1956.
She passed her appreciation and her love for animals to her daughter and her grandchildren. Her happiest years were at the Cannington farm surrounded by animals. This is where she perfected gardening skills.
Jackie was avid cat lover. She joins her beloved pets, Claude, Missy, Willow, Little Daisy and Mykee. Karma Kat has been loving adopted by grandson, Mathew.
She was a strong pillar in the Bowness community and enjoyed chatting with her friends and customers at Bowness Drug Store where she worked for many years.
Jackie was immensely proud of her family. She leaves behind beautiful memories and letters full of glitter. She will be deeply missed.
No service has been held at her request.
