Obituary for Linda Louise Ivanco (Gordon)

With her family by her side, Linda Louise Ivanco of Calgary Alberta passed away on June 6, 2019 in Calgary.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Northmount Baptist Church on June 14th, 2019 at 11:00 am.

Linda is survived by her husband Jack Ivanco; daughters, Leslee Simmons (Patrick), Michelle Armanious (Eric) and grandchildren Caris, Alistair and Mason; brother, Daniel Gordon (Gloria); brother-in-law, Ronald Senger and numerous nieces and nephews. Linda was predeceased by her parents, Bernice and Vernon Gordon and her sister, Diana Senger.

Born in Calgary where her family lived until they moved to Fort McMurray in 1965, Linda finished high school and started a career in insurance. Linda met the love of her life Jack in 1970; they married shortly thereafter and were blessed with 2 daughters. Linda had a long successful career in insurance first in Fort McMurray then in Calgary. Linda made many special friends in her 40 plus years in the industry. She loved to read, play bingo and spend time with her family specifically Sunday afternoon tea at her parents’ home, camping, and big family Christmas celebrations.

Linda had a big heart and kind soul which she used to love, support and help those around her. Anyone who knew Linda knew her greatest joy was her family and seeing them happy and flourish. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Linda to the Canadian Cancer Society.
